Blanking is a processing technique that uses a punch and die to separate material. The cut surface obtained by blanking is consisted of shear droop, burnished surface, fractured surface and burr. Blanking conditions may be selected to reduce the fractured surface. Therefore, there are some reports about the results obtained by finite element method to predict the crack initiation. Moreover, there is the reports about the experimental method of tensile test to calculate the parameter of ductile fracture criteria. In this research, the parameter of ductile fracture criteria was determined from the tensile test results using notched specimens by digital image correlation. A finite element analysis was also performed considering the parameter of ductile fracture criteria obtained from tensile test results. The shape of the cut surface obtained by blanking shows good agreement between experiment and finite element analysis.
